For many hard working people in Collier County the loss of a job or a sudden illness can quickly lead to homelessness.  Individuals and families at-risk of homelessness often need only temporary services to pull through an unfortunate situation.  Many will recover with coordinated case management and emergency rent or mortgage assistance.

Our “Partnerships for Prevention Program” provides at-risk individuals and families with emergency rent or mortgage assistance as funding permits.   The Hunger and Homeless Coalition has formed partnerships with St. Matthew’s House, Catholic Charities, Immokalee Multicultural Multipurpose Community Action Agency, and David Lawrence to provide intake assessments and case management and refer those at-risk of homelessness to the Hunger and Homeless Coalition for emergency rent/mortgage assistance.
